Howard’s Blog and Podia

When Podia announced the new blogging option it seemed like the right time to take the blogging plunge. I’m still getting used to the idea - what should I share and how? - but I’m already starting to find my feet by blending ideas with personal anecdotes and my first two blogs are up and running!

Why Podia blog now?

In late 2019 we were looking for a multi-function platform for our new ASANA Connected proposition. We needed something that could host our website, allow us to sell online courses and memberships and that would integrate with our existing email platform - enter Podia.

Since starting our journey with Podia the platform has continued to develop - evolution rather than revolution - allowing us to adapt to the ever improving capability without feeling that we were being left behind.

As we started 2024 we were looking at ways to increase engagement with our growing community and deliver real value - providing a rich environment to attract and benefit community members. I’ve always steered away from blogging preferring to use short video reels instead but gradually realised that I don’t truly own that content and it adds little richness to our online presence.

When Podia announced the new blogging option it seemed like the right time to take the plunge. Furthermore as the blog is built and delivered on Podia everything feels familiar. Of course, I’m still getting used to the idea - what should I share and how? - but I’m already starting to find my feet by blending ideas with personal anecdotes and my first two blogs are up and running!

So what do I like about the new blog option?

  • Firstly, the look and feel links seamlessly with our website and has the same editing capability that I already enjoy for our products and pages.

  • Secondly, there are useful tools with hints to help you link your content to other resources and maximise SEO.

  • Thirdly, Podia blog is integrated into the Podia platform - there are no additional costs to set up or integrate your new blog.

  • Finally, online support is always available if you need it and there is also great support and webinars to help you learn and grow your skills.

Getting started is easy as a Podia customer - it’s just a new tab when you sign in. And if you are not yet using Podia you can start right here: https://app.podia.com/signup

Good blogging!
